The Kid Next Door Foundation, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with its national headquarters being based in Dallas, Texas. The Kid Next Door Foundation was founded in 1991 by, and continues to be operated by retired military officers. Our fund raising operation sponsors afterschool activities, and summer time activities, to include noon meal programs, for active duty military kids and the children of local military veterans (K-12). We welcome our VOB community to make The Kid Next Door Foundation a priority on their company's list of charities.

Comments on the Military and Business Ownership
I have personally witnessed the hardships that military life places on adolescents. Military kids deploy each and every time that an active duty parent deploys. These kids suffer greatly under the clouds of uncertainty. Many are in constant worry that they will loose a parent to military duty. Others worry that they will loose friends due to PCS moves. And yet little recognition is given to the difficulties that these young people are exposed to on a daily basis.
